How Nova works
From a question to an answer in your ear in two to four seconds.
- ListensNova hears your call or the room and turns each sentence into text. On the desktop that happens on your own laptop.
- FindsIt searches the documents you've pointed it at: Word, PDF, text and Markdown, plus the facts you've approved.
- WritesA spoken line of up to 12 words and a card of up to 35, so it fits one breath and one glance.
- ChecksEach figure is matched against your approved facts and labelled Verified, Web or Unverified before you see it.
- SpeaksVerified answers go straight to your earpiece. Everything else waits on screen for you.

You
Private to you, open to everyone else
Nova's overlay stays out of your screen share, so your notes are yours. And every call opens with a short line letting the other person know you use an assistant.
By default Nova listens to your own microphone only. If someone would rather you switched the other side off, one key does it.
| Mode | What Nova listens to |
|---|---|
| Own voice | Your microphone only. The default. |
| Online call | Both sides of a Teams, Zoom or Meet call, transcribed on your laptop. Nothing stored unless you save notes. |
| In person | The room, through your phone, with each speaker labelled. |
